This letter is to introduce you to COLLECTOR’S CHOICE, an estate/consignment sales service.  We have 44 years experience selling and appraising estates, quality antiques, art and home furnishings.  We have handled most of the prominent estates in Omaha, also several in Lincoln,  Grand Island, Sioux City, Shenandoah, O’Neil, Kansas City and Denver.  We have also handled 4 estates from the Palm Springs, California area, as well as, estates from the East Coast.  Among the estates we have serviced are: J.D. Witherspoon, Gretchen Swanson Velde,  Charles Durham, the Theisen sale, Jack Drew, Roma Agee, Mrs. Earl May, Dr. Leon McGoogan, Walter Brandeis, Johnny Johnson, the Storz Mansion, the Kountz Heirloom Trust, Sydney Johnson Wayland, Kermit Hansen, Joslyn Art Museum, and Union Pacific Railroad.

In addition to the years of actual sales experience, we are appraisers.  We have worked for a variety of individuals and companies, including insurance companies, lawyers and estate planners.  We are familiar with the values of all types of fine arts, antiques, home furnishings, jewelry and vehicles.  We are also the only estate sale company that has a 10,000 square foot gallery and parking space for 186 cars.  We receive national response from our website www.collectorschoiceomaha.com.  At one of our recent large sales we received checks from seventeen (17) states.  We have a mailing list of 5,000 active customers, literally from all over the United States.  We are the only tag sale company who can provide this direct mail advertising service.  In addition to direct mail advertising we advertise in national publications, also Omaha and area newspapers.

Collector’s Choice has 23 professional staff members knowledgeable and qualified to sell up-scale furniture, art, antiques and jewelry.  Collector’s Choice will clean and present all items in the most appropriate manner to achieve the highest selling price.   Most other tag sale companies run only two day sales; we conduct a minimum of a three day sale.  By offering an extra day, we can assure our clients higher prices than those obtained through a typical two day sale or an auction, which generally attains low wholesale prices for the merchandise. We sell approximately 85-90% of all items in the first sale and continue to include the unsold pieces in our next up coming sale.  Estate sale companies who work in homes usually donate any unsold items to local charities such as Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc.  Most of our referrals are from satisfied customers and from people who had pre-arranged their desires for personal property dispersal.
